Hopedale is a therapeutic, nurturing, special school and children's home for children from 7-17 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated conditions.
Aims & Ethos
Hopedale cannot entirely replicate the warmth, affection, support and love which might, in other circumstances, be available to each child in his or her own home, when being cared for by his or her own parents. However, our primary aim, for the benefit of each and every child, is to try our hardest to do so.
We feel passionately about taking a holistic approach to providing care, therapy and education to children who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, often arising from a childhood that has been fraught with difficulty. We strongly believe that timely, integrated intervention can bring children inner-peace and contentment, and enable them to become positive, valued members of society.
In June 2013 The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) rated Hopedale School as Good to Outstanding, noting that the Co-principals are totally focussed on providing pupils with positive experiences to achieve their full potential academically and personally.
