About us

Mill Rise House/Hopedale aims to provide 24-hour care, 52 weeks of the year for up to four children of both genders, aged from five up until their 18th birthday, within the context of a warm and nurturing therapeutic environment. To this end, the children will benefit from having a safe, secure environment during what can be a difficult time in their lives.

This includes children who are:

Emotionally, socially or behaviourally challenged.
Suffering from low self-esteem or who lack confidence.
Sibling groups.
Victims of abuse or domestic violence.
Victims of trauma.
In need of a special school education.
Granted an education, health and care plan.
Children who are being assessed for long term foster care.

(On occasion, we may continue to care for resident’s post 18 for a short, planned period; this could be to support a transition from Mill Rise House/Hopedale)
